This collection consists of a list of casualties suffered by the 23rd Alabama Volunteer Infantry between May 7, 1864, and September 10, 1864, while engaged in combat at several locations in Georgia including Rocky Face Ridge, Resaca, New Hope Church, Marietta, Kennesaw Mountain, and Jonesboro. Nathaniel Wiley Harbin Civil War letter

This collection consists of a letter written by Nathaniel Wiley Harbin to his father about the First Battle of Manassas (Bull RUn). Harbin gives an account of the battle, where he acted as a "skirmisher," and describes the rout of the Federal army and the supplies they abandoned during their retreat. Harbin includes a casualty list for his company and writes about the capture of Federal prisoners.
